NASA Internship Eligibility And Application Requirements
Intern
To be eligible for NASA Internship, candidates must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Have a CGPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Be a full-time student (high-school through graduate level).
- Be at least 16 years old
- Undergraduate and graduate students must be registered for a full-time program in a degree-awarding accredited college or university. Teachers are also eligible to apply.
Pathways Intern
To be eligible for Pathways intern, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Citizen of the United States
- Be a minimum 16 years of age.
- Be registered or accepted for registration on at least a half-time basis in an accredited university or college and maintain enrollment at least half-time as defined by the university or college.
- Be pursuing a certificate or degree.
- Currently have and maintain a CGPA of 2.9 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be able to complete at least 640 hours of work before completing certificate/degree requirements.
- Meet every other requirements stated in the announcement, such as specific educational requirements.
International Intern
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) seeks to better prepare all students to work on a multicultural international missions and a global environment. NASA and the United States benefit from a cadre of future scientists, environmentalists, engineers and other professionals who become acquainted and experienced in multinational environments.
Internship sessions are organized in 3 sessions during the calendar year (fall, summer and spring).

- South Korea: Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI)
- Sweden: Swedish National Space Agency (SNSA)
- Tobago and Trinidad: National Institute of Higher-Education, Research, Science & Technology (NIHERST)
- United Arab Emirates (UAE): UAE Space Agency (UAESA)
