With Stanbic IBTC Quick Services portal, you can enjoy the benefits of completing your service requests by yourself without visiting a physical branch. This also involves account opening. You can open an account with the bank using their online service or USSD code.
Unlike other commercial banks that gives options of opening an account without BVN, the Stanbic IBTC does not allow customers to open an account without BVN. If you have a BVN you can open your bank account within minutes.
There are two types of accounts you can open online with Stanbic. These accounts include;
- Savings account (classic)
- Savings account (premium)
With the Stanbic Savings Account (Classic) you can make a maximum single deposit of N50,000 and a Max Total balance of N300,000

- Your Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- At least one passport photograph
- The Signature of account holder (picture on a piece of plain white paper)

- At least one passport photograph

- Public Utility bill such as PHCN bill, water bill etc.
- A Government issued ID such as National ID, int’l passport, voter’s card etc.

Follow the steps below to open Stanbic IBTC account Online:
Step 1: Log on to the Stanbic IBTC account opening official portal at https://instantaccount.stanbicibtc.com
Step 2: You’ll be asked “Do you have a BVN?” Click on Yes
Step 3: Click on “Bank account” ensure to read and accept the terms and conditions, then proceed
Step 4: Input your BVN and DOB then proceed
Step 5: Input your first name, last name, mobile number and email address
Step 6: Select the service you wish to request for, either internet banking or debit card
Step 7: Fill out the Contact address form, input your first and second addresses correctly then proceed
Step 8: Upload necessary documents such as passport photograph, means of identification etc.
Step 9: Review your information provided then submit
Step 10: Upon successful submission, you’ll receive a congratulatory message, and your account number will be forwarded to you shortly
Code To Open Stanbic IBTC Account On Phone
Follow the steps below to open Stanbic IBTC account using USSD code:
Step 1: Dial *909# on your mobile phone
Step 2: Click on option 5 which is “account opening”
Step 3: Press option 1 to proceed
Step 4: You’ll be required to enter your BVN and date of birth
Step 5: Input your basic details such as first and last name
Step 6: Fill out the KYC form correctly, review it and submit
Step 7: After submission, you’ll receive a message containing your account details shortly.
