How To Setup A Venmo Account

First you download the app, either iOS or Android, depending on your device type, open the app, select the sign up method and generate a password. The password normally should have between 8 to 32 characters. After this process, you go ahead to verify your phone number and your email, then go ahead to add and verify your bank account, and you are ready to go.
How To Delete Your Venmo Account

Step 1
The first step to deleting your Venmo account is to make sure there are no funds in it anymore. You will have to transfer any remaining funds in the Venmo account to be deleted to somewhere else, such as the bank account connected. You may also spend it or send it to family or friends. Unless you use instant transfer which completes within 30 minutes, the transaction may take three days to complete.
Step 2
After emptying the Venmo account, you should go ahead and remove your account details from the Venmo account. Just go to payment methods and select the bank account you want to remove and click ‘”remove bank”. The linked bank account will be removed.
Step 3
After you are done with this, you will need to log in to your Venmo account on your PC to complete the account cancellation process. Venmo does not allow account deletion on the mobile app. All the other steps you have taken earlier can also be done on your PC too.
Go to the Venmo portal on your PC. Log in, and click on the “close my Venmo account” under “profile”. You will get instruction to transfer any remaining funds in case there are still funds there. Once that is settled, you can click the “close account” option, and you are done. Your Venmo account is deleted.
After these processes are completed, if you try to log in to the Venmo account again, you won’t be able to do so. Unless the process was not successful. Also, you will get an email containing all transactions performed and the account closure confirmation.
